A fault has developed at the pier three access system at Stornoway harbour.
A joint statement from Stornoway Port Authority and CalMac Ferries Ltd issued this afternoon states: “The passenger access system on pier 3 developed a fault on Thursday night which has necessitated it being withdrawn from service while the cause is investigated.
“In the meantime customers are being advised as they arrive to travel that they must board via the car deck.
“Additional CalMac port staff are providing whatever assistance is necessary. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
