A fishing vessel near North Rona suffered engine problems and had begun to drift.
Stornoway lifeboat the ‘Tom Sanderson’ was launched to aid the vessel at around 3.11pm yesterday (Thursday, June 18th).
When the lifeboat reached the vessel a tow line established and the vessel was towed to Kinlochbervie harbour, the expected time of arrival in the port was 11pm.
The lifeboat returned to her Stornoway berth around 2am.
