Baroness Cox to visit Isles

One of the UK’s best known Human Rights campaigners is due to be the special guest as this year’s Steadfast Global fundraising dinner.

Tireless humanitarian and voice for the voiceless, The Baroness Caroline Cox, of Queensbury will be the special guest at the locally based Mission’s event on Friday 13th September in the Caladh Hotel.

Baroness Cox has travelled to numerous conflict zones and areas of intense religious persecution, both during her involvement with Christian Solidarity Worldwide of which she is Patron, and latterly in her role as founder and CEO of Humanitarian Aid Relief Trust (HART), which is a charity that works to bring relief to marginalised and oppressed individuals and communities across the world. For many she is best known for her slave redemption work in the former Sudan during the 1990’s but this was by no means her only focus. Highly regarded on many continents, Baroness Cox has been honoured with numerous accolades from universities, presidents and nations for her humanitarian work.

Tickets, priced at £20 are on sale now from Steadfast Global or Stornoway Religious Bookshop.
