The well known firm of Independent Financial Advisers, Macleod IFA, based in Stornoway have announced that the Partners have concluded an Agreement with CDFS (formerly Campbell Dallas Financial Services Limited); a Glasgow based IFA Practice with connections throughout Scotland.
Partner, Roddy Macleod said, “This gives us the ability to deliver a greatly enhanced service to our clients which is a value for money proposition of the highest quality and allows us to meet the rapidly changing regulations surrounding IFA Practices which come into effect by December 2012”.
“My partner, Donald Martin and I are confident that our clients will benefit from this new alliance which should open the opportunity for us to extend our services within the islands”.
The firm will continue to operate from its historic base in Duthus House, Stornoway and the Partnership Administrator, Iona France, will continue in her support role to ensure that there is a smooth continuity of service.
The enhanced services that will be provided through CDFS will be created through their link with Succession, a London based Advisory Service with extensive City connection, to ensure that the best investment advice can be obtained from City experts, a service which is difficult for a small IFA Practice to deliver.
CDFS were founded around ten years ago and grew as an arm of Campbell Dallas, Chartered Accountants, the third largest Independent firm of CA’s in Scotland. Over the last few years, CDFS have become independent of the CA firm but the firm continues to have a significant stake in CDFS.
This does not affect Macleod Insurance Services based in Benbecula.
