The cameras are due to start rolling on the new series of Katie Morag in just a few weeks time and the producers are once again looking for locals to take part.
The award winning show, filmed on the Isle of Lewis, was hugely successful and has been enjoyed by children and adults alike in the UK and further afield after being shown the CBeebies Channel, BBC Two and on the BBC Worldwide CBeebies Channel.
The production team are now looking forward to returning to the Isle of Lewis and will be filming from late-July to September.
The producers are looking for people of all ages who live on the Isles of Lewis or Harris to take part as extras in the new series.
Cherry Campbell will return as Katie Morag while the rest of the cast includes Gail Watson (Mrs McColl), Kenneth Harvey (Mr McColl) with Katie Morag’s two grandmas being played by Ann Louise Ross (Grannie Island) and Barbara Rafferty (Granma Mainland).
However there are still plenty of roles that need to be filled before filming starts in a few weeks time.
So if you fancy shopping in the Struay Post Office, seeing your children in Katie Morag’s school, or maybe cheering her on in her latest adventure, send an email to Mark Corden at the address below.
All background roles are paid and it will be weekday filming only. Children under 16 will need a license from their local authority to participate – production will send you details on how to apply.
Anyone wishing to get involved should send your name, a headshot style picture, phone number, and any dates you’re not available for filming from now until 12th September, to firstname.lastname@example.org.
