Chief Donald Macleod of The Lewes visited Ui Church and met the Directors of Urras Eaglais na h-Aoidhe on a gloriously sunny Friday.

The Chief, with his wife Heather and daughter Laura, were visiting Lewis from Tasmania, where they live.

Chief Donald had heard of recent renovation work done on Eaglais na h-Aoidhe since his last visit in 2006 and he was keen to see it.

Angus Macleod, Regional Manager of Breedon Aggregates layed a new path through the church grounds. He donated suitable top dressing and arranged for it to be laid. As a result the path is much more comfortable to walk on.

John Cunningham, Chair of Urras Eaglais na h-Aoidhe, thanked Angus for his speedy generosity and Chief Donald Macleod of The Lewes commented on the importance of the involvement of the local community and local business.
