Citylink amend timetable to improve ferry link

Scottish Citylink has announced details of an amendment to its timetable, improving service options for passengers travelling across Scotland.

The coach operator, which is a joint venture between Stagecoach and international transport group ComfortDelGro, will introduce a change to the timetable from 25 March 2016.

The changes are set to give passengers more flexibility and to reduce the waiting time for passengers using coaches and ferries.

Amendments to the Scottish Citylink winter timetable will begin on 25 March and will include Saturday departures as follows:

From 1540hrs to 1640hrs from Inverness

From 1720hrs to 1820hrs from Ullapool

Passengers are encouraged to book early to guarantees their seat as services are expected to be busy.

Scottish Citylink Operations Director David Frenz said: “We’re delighted to be working with Caledonian MacBrayne to introduce this amendment to our services. Acting on our passengers’ feedback we’ve changed the times of our services so they provide seamless connections with ferry services.

“Anyone choosing to use our services is advised to book early though. Our services get very busy so our advice is to book early.
