Coastguard rushed to help Spanish vessel

The Stornoway Coastguard rescue helicopter was again in action, September 12, when it attended to a casualty on board a Spanish vessel and took him to the Western Isles Hospital.

A 52-year-old man, who spoke no English, was taken to the Western Isles Hospital for 2.30pm and was supported by Stornoway Fishermen’s Mission. The man is understood to be in a stable condition and improving.
