Council candidate is taken ill
At the Western Isles local election count this morning in the Lewis Sports Centre, Stornoway there was further drama when a council candidate was taken ill during the proceedings.
Paramedics arrived in counting hall after Barra and South Uist SNP candidate Donald Manford fell ill.
Mr Manford was taken to the Western Isles hospital for treatment.
More ward results from the count are expected shortly.
