The Crown Hotel in Stornoway is to re-open this summer with the public bar due to open its doors later this month.
The Stornoway town centre hotel has been closed for more than a year but work is underway to complete a refurbishment.
A spokesperson for PunchTaverns, who own the hotel , and also the vacant Caledonian Hotel said: “We can confirm that a lease has been signed with a new licensee for the Crown Hotel and refurbishment works are ongoing. We expect the public bar to open this month, and the full hotel to open before summer season.
“We are actively recruiting for a new licensee at the Caledonian Hotel and would welcome enquiries via www.Punchtaverns.com.”
The Caledonian Hotel closed more than two years ago and there are still no set plans for its future.
