SHOP LIFTING

At 1:45pm on January 30, 2016, police in Stornoway were called to attend the Co-op store on Cromwell Street in the town.

Following enquiries a 52-year-old male was arrested for alleged shoplifting and he will be the subject of a report to the procurator fiscal.

FIGHTING

Two men in Stornoway were issued with a recorded police warning notice following a late night fight.

An 18-year-old and a 37-year-old were found to be fighting in Point Street, Stornoway, at 2am on January 31, 2016, and were subsequently arrested.

Both were released when sober and issued with the new recorded police warning notices.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT

A 49-year-old male was arrested for an alleged breach of bail conditions and domestic assault following an incident in Stornoway.

The incident took place at a town residence around 12:30pm on January 31.
