Island kids, young and old, had a cracking day at Maybury Gardens who hosted an egg-stra special Easter Egg Fun Day last Saturday.

A staggering 1300 eggs were hidden in the grounds of the local business and found by the stream of youngsters taking part in the egg hunt; 12kg of Candyfloss was gobbled down, 500 home baked cakes were eaten, 67 kids had their faces or arms painted, while the bouncy castle had more happy feet leaping about than the Arctic.

Juice, hot drinks for the adults and biscuits were also laid on by the staff on a day to remember which also raked in a massive £400 for Bethesda in the process.

Maybury Gardens would like to thank Pursuit Hebrides, Micheala Smith, Amy Cunningham, Gillian MacKenzie, Ryan MacLennan, Robert Morrison, Graeme and his Girls, Tong Community for the Marquee and Angus Mackenzie Farm for the free parking.
