The Comhairle is currently considering options for the future use of the historical building used to house Museum nan Eilean on Francis Street, Stornoway.
The Museum is relocating to Lews Castle this summer as part of the redevelopment project there.
Museum nan Eilean has been situated in the Francis Street building since 1995.
Originally built in 1898 as the Secondary Department of the Nicolson Institute, the bulding continued to be used by the school up to the 1990s. The Comhairle’s Heritage teams are busy preparing the final exhibits for the opening of the new museum at Lews Castle.
