Get set for an evening of traditional music and song with a Friday gathering planned on Friday, July 18th, at the Lewis Retirement Centre in Bayhead, Stornoway.
The chance to hear live music locally is presented to locals and visitors alike; and there will be tunes, songs, a welcome, a cup of tea and cake to enjoy from 6pm to 9pm.
As organisers said: “Let’s share our island music and song, it is what makes us different and visitors often leave the island without having experienced our hertigate.”
The Friday teatime music and song event will run as a trial for six weeks until August 22nd.
The newly refurbished Lewis Retirement Centre is a community facility avaliable for the use of local charities. The popular monthly Gaelic Music Ceilidhs will resume in September.
