Further resignations at Stornoway Port Authority

Stornoway Port Authority have announced another departure from their staff.

Captain Peter Read, Harbour Master of Stornoway Port Authority, has indicated his intention to leave the Authority in February 2015 to seek new opportunities and to broaden his experience in the marine sector.

His successor in the post will be announced following the usual advertising procedures.

This follows the resignation of the SPA Chairman and a member of the SPA Board last month.

Speaking on behalf of the Board, chairman Captain Bert Frater said: “The board wishes to put on record their appreciation to Captain Read for the contribution he has made during a period of intense activity at the port”.
