Lewis Wind Power and the Stornoway Trust recently hosted a public exhibition on the proposals for the Stornoway Wind Farm at Martin’s Memorial Hall, Stornoway.
Commenting on the exhibition Ron Peddie, Project Director at Lewis Wind Power said: “We have been delighted by the public response we’ve had to date at our public exhibition.
“We’ve had a steady flow of members of the public, all of them wanting to see the latest plans and learn more about the project.
“The 3D software at the exhibition has given people a real feel for how the wind farm will look when completed and our panels and maps have helped explain every stage of the development going forward. Much of our exhibition is focused on community benefit and we’re particularly keen to hear from the public as to how to deliver this effectively.
“This event is another very important stage in our engagement with the local community.
“We are eager to hear the views of local people and get further feedback as we begin to finalise our proposals for the Stornoway wind farm and how we can maximise the benefits to the local community.”
