Great Harris gin drought is over
Bottle production has now resumed and new stocks arrived in Harris this morning (Monday) and the team will be working hard to dispatch customer’s pre-orders as soon as possible.
Just two short weeks ago the distillery announced news of rationing of their Isle of Harris Gin.

Hide AdDemand for their island spirit had risen beyond the distillery’s wildest expectations and the beautiful, award-winning bottles were fast running out.
And as bad luck would have it the specialist furnace which makes them was closed for essential repairs.
Despite restricting sales to just one bottle per person, remaining bottles of Isle of Harris Gin quickly dwindled and the gin shelves of the distillery shop lay bare.
While not an ideal situation the distillery team remained upbeat at their unexpected predicament.

Hide AdThe distillery’s managing director Simon Erlanger stating: “It’s been a rather exciting time, dealing with this temporary shortage but Harris folk are not phased by such interruptions and the team in Tarbert are now rolling up their sleeves to clear the huge backlog of orders now that our bottles have landed at the pier.”
