Guides and Scouts Outdoor Challenge

Nineteen girls from Isle of Harris Guides and Senior Section Rangers enjoyed a very successful first trip to take part in the Western Isles Guides and Scouts Outdoor Challenge in the Lews Castle grounds on Saturday 13th June.

Pictured are some of the girls after successfully navigating their way around the grounds in small patrols and testing their teamwork and skills on grass-sledging, a ninja obstacle course, semaphore messaging and canoeing.

The Harris patrols came in 2nd, 3rd and 4th place and got to meet and work together with Stornoway Guides.

Also competing were the Stornoway Scouts (1st) and Laxdale Scouts (5th and 6th) so the new Harris Guides and Rangers did fantastically on their first outing.
