An island GP has been awarded an MBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours list.
Dr Andrew Naylor is the doctor at the Leverburgh practice in South Harris.
The award recognises his commitment to medical services for patients across South Harris.
A father and daughter were also recognised in the Queen’s Birthday Honours list.
Rev. John Smith, originally from Lewis and now of North Uist, received a British Empire Medal for services to the community of the Western Isles.
And daughter, Edinburgh based nurse Christeen Smith, received a MBE for services to stoma patients.
David Cameron of Tarbert, Harris received a CBE for his services towards community land ownership.
