Island pupils see their designs score praise

Designs by Island Primary school students Alexander Gordon and Meghan Macleod have made the Forest Pitch strip design shortlist.

Designs by 12-year old Alexander Gordon (pictured above) from Laxdale Primary School and 11-year old Meghan Macleod from Sgoil Nan Loch Primary School have made the shortlist for the Forest Pitch strip design competition.

Pupils across Scotland were invited to create designs for the strips to be worn by teams playing in this major Cultural Olympiad event on 21 July 2012.

Alexander and Meghan were two of more than 2,00 entrants, and now they will see their designs exhibited in the Scottish Football Museum at the National Stadium, Hampden from February to July of this year.
