Sharon explained that Highland Hustle was a dance based workout suitable for everyone: “The classes are for over 16s and are suitable for all levels and abilities.

“You do not need to have dancing experience to take part and it doesn’t even matter if you have two left feet!

“You will find that the class allows you to work at your own pace and gives you options to work at a pace that’s right for you, whether it be low impact or high intensity.”

Describing more about the moves she said: “You have basic movements from Highland Dancing, a little bit of ceilidh and some aerobics and toning thrown in and all done to a great variety of music.

“You don’t realise how hard you are actually working as you have so much fun whilst doing it!”

Sharon is delighted with the initial response to the Highland Hustle classes with 40 taking part so far.

“I’ve had brilliant feedback from everyone taking part in it and they are all keen to keep it going as they are enjoying it so much and know they are getting a good workout,” she said.

“I’ve found the classes to have a great atmosphere, where everyone gets into the spirit of it all, which adds to the enjoyment.”

A new four week block of classes are starting in Tong Hall on Wednesday June 3rd at 7.30pm.

Current classes take place at 6.30pm on a Tuesday in Sandwick Hall and 6.15pm on a Thursday in the Bridge Centre.
