Lamont and Sturgeon complete debate panel

The Stornoway Gazette is welcoming the Deputy First Minister and the Leader of the Scottish Labour Party to the Stornoway Gazette Big Referendum Debate.

Both politicians are senior figures not just in their respective parties but also the independence debate and are keen to speak directly to island voters at the debate in Stornoway Town Hall on September 1st, just weeks before the referendum vote.

The politicians have already been head-to-head on the issue of independence, but this time they will be each be joined by two other panellists - Ms Sturgeon being joined by Alasdair Allan MSP and Gordon ‘Diesel’ Maclennan and Ms Lamont by former MSP Alasdair Morrison and Roddy Cunningham - along side debate chairman, and former Free Church of Scotland Moderator, Rev. Iain D Campbell.
