Bord na Gaidhlig have granted a fund to see the go-ahead for a free fim night in aid of Obbe Parant is Paiste, a dedicated Gaelic parent and toddler group in Leverburgh servicing the South of Harris.
A free film night has been planned for christmas eve, this family event has been organised to celebrate the creation of this project and bring families together at christmas time.
Obbe Parant is Paiste is a group to provide support for pregnant women, new parents and children aged 0 to 3 years; establishing a space for children to explore and learn through creative activities and toys.
The evening will take place on Cristmas Eve at Leverburgh Village Hall, South Harris, and the film, Frank Capra’s ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’ will be shown. Doors open at 3.30pm, with the film starting at 4pm.
Refreshments will be on sale with all proceeds going to Obbe Parant is Paiste
