Lewis-born Gaelic Comedienne Carina MacLeod is returning home and ready to have folks laughing off their seats with her new showcase ‘The Comedy Couch’, taking place in An Lanntair arts centre this weekend (Saturday, November 9th, 8pm).

And she won’t be crossing the Minch alone to take the show to a home audience, as she will be accompanied by some very special guests.

Joining Carina on the couch will be fellow funny woman Anna Devitt who recently appeared on Britain’s Got Talent and is considered to be a rising star in the Scottish comedy world.

Scottish Comedian of the Year 2009, John Gavin makes the trip over. He got to the finals of comedy competition ‘So You Think You’re Funny’ and has performed all over the country, including festivals ‘Rockness’ and ‘T in the Park’.

Also chatting with Carina is Gayle Telfer Stevens – one of Scotland’s up and coming comedy actresses who has made many acting appearances from an Irn Bru Advert to the new Blockbuster movie and current box office smash ‘Sunshine On Leith’.

And rounding off the guest-list is Sir Reginald Tweedy Duffer, perhaps best known for his one-man show, Politics Now Politics Wow!

He performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival last year as well as playing some of Britain’s finest comedy clubs, including The Stand and The Comedy Store.

Enjoy a fantastic evening of comedy in an Lanntair which includes the chance to win a fantastic prize in Carina’s special raffle, the proceeds of which will be donated to the Bethesda Hospice.

Please note that the performance is strictly 18+. Tickets are available from An Lanntair Box Office, £12.50.
