Local contractor helps Iochdair school pupils ditch a problem

Sgoil an Iochdair pupils are excited about their new bridge which was kindly built and donated by Ewen MacInnes from MacInnes Brothers.

P5-7 pupils have been learning about bridges because of the real problem of a muddy ditch in the school grounds. Pupils wrote a letter to Ewen MacInnes looking for advice about the problem. Mr MacInnes then visited the school and after lots of discussion with the children, a suitable design was chosen for the bridge.

The bridge was put in place recently and the children are delighted that they can now go over the ditch rather than into it!

The staff and children of Sgoil an Iochdair would like to thank Ewen MacInnes and his workforce for their kindness and hard work.
