Lochs accident sees women taken to hospital

Early this morning (Thursday, February 25, 2016) three vehicles were involved in an accident on the A859 Lochs road near the village of Leurbost.

Police were notified and attended the scene with other emergency services.

It is reported that the driver and one passenger from one vehicle were taken to Western Isles Hospital while fire fighters freed one of the women from a badly damaged vehicle.

The road was closed for a period of time but reopened during the morning.
