Man arrested in Moscow for ‘wearing a kilt’
Eyewitnesses said that police in central Moscow arrested the man on Saturday March 14, near the Tsoi Wall at the junction of Arbat Street and Krivoarbatsky Lane.
A group of young people had gathered to celebrate St Patrick’s Day weekend, with a bystander telling tvrain.ru that police arrested the man for ‘wearing a skirt in public’.

Hide AdThe man was taken to the Arbat district Department of Internal Affairs.
There were a number of festive events in Moscow over the weekend, including a costume parade in Sokolniki Park.
The Tsoi Wall is a graffiti-covered wall dedicated to late musician Viktor Tsoi and his band Kino.
Tsoi died in a car accident in August 1990, aged 28.
Last year, a video emerged from Ukraine, showing a bagpiper playing ‘Bonnie Galloway’ while riots raged around him.
