Work on this site for 42 new homes came to a halt when ROK, the main sub contractor for HHP’s development partner Tulloch Homes Express, went into administration on Monday 8 November 2010.
HHP are now very pleased to say that work has recommenced at the site this week.
Tulloch Homes Express have contracted with Compass Building and Construction Services of Inverness to complete the project and tradesmen are now back at work. It is expected that the other sub contractors on the project will be re-engaged.
HHP’s Director of Operations Tony Pendle said: “We are very glad to see this development under way again as we are very keen to get these much needed homes available for their new residents. Obviously the shut down of the site for four weeks will have an impact on when the houses will be ready for occupation but we are currently talking to Tulloch Homes Express to see how any delay can be minimised”.
For Tulloch Homes Express Andrew MacMaster who heads the company said “we are obviously saddened by the Rok situation and disappointed in the effect it has had on progress of the works, however, we have every confidence in Compass Building Services picking up the batten and assisting us in getting back on track and delivering a project of which we can all be proud.”
