Talented teen Megan Crawford swept the boards at the recent City of Inverness Highland Dancing Championships.

The 16-year-old from Stornoway shone amongst a huge pool of talented dancers from all over the world - including as far afield as Canada and Russia - to take the prestigious top award of Overall Champion.

In addition to winning the overall award Megan was also triumphant in her pre-champs.

This is Megan’s second mainland-based competition of the year having placed phenomenally well in the European Champipnships in Aberdeen in April where her hand luggage was perilously close to bursting after taking home several medals.

At the European Championships the teenager, who is set to turn 17 soon, won three firsts, two seconds, a third and a fourth.

Megan is a member of the Lyn Maclean School of Dancing.
