Memory Walk in Lews Castle Grounds

Alzheimer Scotland Lewis and Harris are inviting the public to join them on this year’s annual 5K Memory Walk, taking place this Saturday, September 19th at 1pm leaving from the Woodland Centre, Lews Castle Grounds.

There will be a bouncy castle, treasure hunts and cupcakes on the day as well as the annual balloon release to start the event.

Alzheimer Scotland Memory Walks are currently taking place all over Scotland in September to raise awareness for the 90,000 people living with dementia in Scotland and to raise vital funds to develop and deliver support to make sure that no one faces dementia alone.

Registration is available on the day from 12pm or through the Alzheimer Scotland Dementia Resource Centre, 18 Bells Road in Stornoway,

Registration is £10 for adults, £5 for 12-16 year olds and under 12s are free.
