Islanders and tourists travelling to and from Ullapool are being urged to pre-book their bus seats in advance of travelling.
This follows instances last year where people have been left stranded because they had not pre-booked their seat.
Western Isles MP Angus MacNeil said: “I am raising this issue following on from difficulties last year, when we had situations where passengers were left stranded in Inverness or Ullapool because the bus was full.
“It is important that everyone wishing to travel by bus should pre-book their bus seat, this will allow for the bus operator, Citylink, to make adequate arrangement and ensure they have enough buses to cope with demand.”
He added: “It is important that we make our travel journey as smooth as possible and I would reminder travellers to pre-book their seat by contacting Citylink on www.citylink.co.uk or by telephone on 0871 266 33 33.
