Lewis lassies are pulling together in a musical Bethesda fundraiser to take place this weekend at The Woodlands Centre.

Rising starlets Eleanor Nicolson and Josie Rose will be joined by fab fiddler Jane Hepburn and songstress Mairi MacLennan for an evening of excellent musical entertainment.

“Josie and I were song-writing together and we thought we should put on a gig,” said Eleanor.

“We then thought why not use it to raise money for charity and Bethesda came to us as it is a great part of the community.”

The evening – Saturday, March 29th – will kick off with Mairi MacLennan, before Jane – accompanied by Cristian Mackenzie – takes to the Woodland stage; then Eleanor and Josie round off the talented performances.

The night will be kept ticking over nicely no doubt by MC Niall Iain Macdonald and, sound and PA is courtesy of Wee Studio – donated free of charge for the fundraiser.

And, if that wasn’t enough already, there’s also a fantastic Raffle arranged, with great prizes donated from local businesses: Colin Cameron Photography; Ishga Skin Care; Harris Tweed Boutique; Harris Tweed Teddies; Tesco; Solas at Cabarfeidh Hotel; Digby Chicks; Eleven; Sandie Maciver Photography; M&MS; Delights; Cloud 9 Cakes; Hebridean Soap; Mosaic; Influence; Sweet Flavours and WJ MacDonalds.

Also up for Raffle are CDs from fellow island music makers Colin Macleod, Willie Campbell and Face The West.

“It’s going to be a great night in The Woodlands, with some great local music and amazing prizes!” added Eleanor.

Tickets are for sale now at An Lanntair box office, price £7.

All monies raised will be donated to Bethesda Hospice and Care Home.
