MV Isle of Lewis is on her way back to Stornoway this afternoon (Wednesday) after completion of repairs at Liverpool drydock.

The ferry left Ullapool for Liverpool last Friday evening due to a fault detected in the rudder.

A spokesperson for Calmac said: “I am pleased to advise that the rudder on the MV Isle of Lewis has been repaired and she is now en-route to Stornoway. Weather permitting and subject to no further issues arising, she is expected to resume the Stornoway-Ullapool service at 0700 on Friday morning.”
