New and improved website to connect Outer Hebrides tourism businesses

Outer Hebrides Tourism (OHT) have introduced a new refreshed website.

The new site highlights what OHT does to promote the Outer Hebrides as a world-class visitor destination, to champion tourism businesses and provides new tools and resources to support our tourism business members.

Thanks to match funding from HIE and Coastal Communities, it has been built using mobile first technology to offer a quality user experience for our business browsers across desktop, mobile and tablet.

Linda MacLeod Brown, media director for OHT comments: “It boasts improved navigation, new content and shouts the ‘Join Us’ message to help OHT extend its industry membership and so broaden our voice as the ‘go-to’ organisation to develop, promote and sustain tourism in the Outer Hebrides”.

The website (www.outerhebridestourism.org) will grow as a hub of information for Outer Hebrides tourism businesses – a new ‘members only’ space (coming soon) will provide members with access to new content, tailored resources, supplier discounts and information to support their business as well as a forum to network with others.

Membership of Outer Hebrides Tourism has grown by 76% in the past year, with almost 400 members, around 40% of the total number of tourism businesses in the Outer Hebrides.

Businesses linked in any way to tourism across these islands are encouraged to join and find out more about opportunities that all local tourism business owners can be part of including training, marketing, networking, PR opportunities and lots more.
