New appointments at Stornoway Port Authority

Stornoway Port Authority has announced that Mr John J Maclennan has accepted the post of Interim Chief Executive until such time the Port Authority appoints a permanent Chief Executive.

A spokesperson for the Authority said: “John was employed by the Port Authority for 27 years from 1983 and served as Chief Executive from 1996 until his retirement in 2010 and brings a wealth of experience to the role.”

The Authority also announced that Captain Roddy Jardine has joined the team as Assistant/Interim Harbour Master in a supporting role, to ensure a period of continuity overseeing important developments in the harbour.
