New e-planning portal system at the council

In line with ePlanning nationally, Comhairle nan Eilean Siar is investing in ePlanning as part of its commitment to become more electronic and save the customer some time and money in the process.

ePlanning Scotland was launched in April 2009 and since then has built up a strong reputation and an excellent customer base, with considerable financial savings for both applicants and planning authorities.

The number of planning applications submitted through the ePlanning portal has continued to increase, and the Comhairle would like to encourage Applicants and Agents to use the ePlanning service which should realise even greater savings in the future.

A new ePlanning portal, called ePlanning.scot was launched on 13 January 2016. The replacement ePlanning portal has been developed and built on a like for like basis and continues to enable online submission of planning applications and appeals with additional functionality including a location plan purchase service from three accredited location plan providers, and also makes provision for Post Submission Additional Documents.
