A new Centre for Grimsay in North Uist is being created by the local Community Association.

The centre is a sustainable building providing local services and amenities to the community; and an economic, cultural and social hub for the island as a whole.

The Community Capital Grants Fund (CCGF) is administered by the Comhairle’s Regeneration Team - a function of the Economic Development service - which has been active in delivering significant economic development opportunities in local communities for over ten years.

The team is accessible across the Outer Hebrides to support properly-constituted groups with community projects that create opportunities with tangible local economic development outputs.
