OSCAR winning actress Emma Thompson says she wants to learn Gaelic!

Launching her new book, The Further Tale of Peter Rabbit, she said she was delighted that a Gaelic edition would also be available ‘Sgeulachd Eile mu Pheadar’.

The book was launched at the Scotland Street School Museum in Glasgow earlier this week; and both the Gaelic and English books are illustrated by Eleanor Taylor, who is well known for her children’s illustrations.

After reading the story to the children, Emma said that the Gaelic edition made her want to learn Gaelic.

Margaret Houston, who represents the Glasgow children’s libraries was equally enthusiastic about the Gaelic edition, saying that it would be good to see it in every Gaelic medium school.
