A new case of COVID-19 has been confirmed in the Western Isles.

The case, the first reported locally since early April, is the seventh reported case in the Western Isles, and NHS Western Isles (NHSWI) confirmed that it had been notified of the case via the UK Notification System.

NHSWI said in a brief statement that the ‘individual remains well and is self isolating at home in Lewis’.
