Harris Distillery reopens its doors

The Isle of Harris Distillery in Tarbert reopened its doors today (Wednesday).

As lockdown measures have now eased, visitors to the island can once again share the Harris spirit and story in person.

The team at the distillery are now looking forward to welcoming back visitors.

Whilst tours will remain unavailable and the canteen remains closed to ensure that social distancing measures, the distillery will be showing signs of normality with its shop opening.

The opening hours will be Monday to Friday 10am to 4pm and 10am to 12.30pm on Saturdays.

Customers can also Click & Collect their gin from AD Munro shop in Tarbert during normal opening hours of 9am - 6pm Monday to Saturday.

Inside the distillery visitors can expect:

A one-way system in place, in a route through the main entrance and into the shop. Customers exit through the rear shop doors.

All visitors are required to wear a face-mask while in the distillery and use the hand-sanitisers provided at the entrance.

All payments are to be made by card only.

Toilet facilities are not available.

Distancing is encouraged by specially branded floor vinyls at 2m marks.
