NHS Western Isles ‘of opinion’ corona-virus not circulating in island communities
Mr Jamieson’s comments came in a video posted on NHSWI’s social media pages on Tuesday night, and in the video Mr Jamieson also confirmed that ‘Trace and Isolate’ procedures were underway.
The case was the first reported in the Western Isles since early April, and in a statement issued on Tuesday, NHSWI confirmed that the individual was well and was isolating at home on the Isle of Lewis.

For Western Isles residents who develop symptoms of COVID-19 infection, as well as this new form there is also a local phoneline (01851 601 151) to help them book a test.
The phoneline will be staffed from 9am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday with an answering machine available outwith those hours.
