SNP MP Angus MacNeil involved in crash which left teenage motorcyclist with broken leg


It is understood that the politician was spoken to by the police at the scene but has not been charged following the incident on Friday. The 17-year-old on the bike was taken to hospital for treatment.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Police were informed at around 7.05pm on Friday October 30, of a crash involving a car and a motorcycle were on the A888 near Castlebay School on Barra.

Hide Ad“The 17 year old male rider of the motorcycle suffered a non life-threatening injury and he was taken to hospital. Nobody else was injured.”
They added: “Inquiries to establish full circumstances of the crash are ongoing.”
Mr MacNeil who lives on Barra and represents Na h-Eileanan an Lar reportedly told The Sun newspaper: “It’s a serious incident. I’m very concerned about it.”
