Prince Charles tries weaving

The Duke of Rothesay has proved himself again to be a hands-on Royal during his visit to Harris today (Thursday).

Visiting a loom shed in Stockinish, Prince Charles could not resist the chance to have a go at weaving the world famous cloth.

A fan of the Clo Mor, Prince Charles is on a whistle stop tour of the Isle of Harris to help celebrate the centenary year of the Harris Tweed Orb trademark. He is being accompanied on his visit by his wife, Camilla, the Duchess of Rothesay, for a small number of engagements.

The Royal couple are now on their way to visit the Harris Tweed and Knitwear Company at Grosebay before a visit to the Leac a’Lea centre.

More updates to follow throughout the afternoon.
