Proposed new opening hours at Daliburgh Post Office

The Post Office is proposing to reduce the current opening hours for Daliburgh Post Office in Lochboisdale.

Should the proposal go ahead, the new branch opening times would be 8:30am – 1pm and 3pm to 5:30pm Monday to Friday and 9:30 to 12:30 on Saturday.

This would reduce the opening hours by 22 hours a week. Post Office services will be available for 38 hours a week.

The Post Office is now inviting customers and interested parties to give their comments on the move in a six-week public consultation.

David Duff, Post Office Manager said: “We believe that the reduction of opening hours presents the best possible solution to allow us to maintain Post Office services in Daliburgh in the longer term.

“Our priority is to safeguard Post Office services to the local community and we are confident that the new opening hours will adequately meet the needs of the community and will ensure the service is sustainable into the future.”

During the public consultation, Post Office Ltd welcomes feedback on any issues customers would like considered before a final decision is taken on this proposal.
