Public welcome at Transport Committee Coastguard Hearing

The House of Commons Transport Select Committee is meeting in Stornoway tomorrow (Thursday 19 May) to take evidence on the MCA’s proposals for the future of the Coastguard service.

The proceedings are open to the public and all are welcome to attend for part or all of the meeting which is in the Caladh Inn, Stornoway, starting at 11am and expected to finish around 12.30pm.

Comhairle nan Eilean Siar, Shetland Islands Council, The Highland Council, KIMO UK and Oil and Gas UK will be giving evidence to the Select Committee which called in the MCA proposals.
