The Children at Sgoil na Pàirc have had a busy time baking to support their adopted charity, ‘Dwelling Places’.
The baking was sold at a fundraising lunch held in the M.A Macleod Memorial Hall on Saturday 22nd February.
Dwelling Places, Uganda, has connections with the school. Marsali Campbell who is a nurse working for the charity was a pupil at the school when living in Gravir.
Marsali visited the school last year when home on leave, to talk to the children about Dwelling Places and her work in Uganda.
The fundraising lunch raised the sum of £1,260 on the day.
Sgoil na Pàirc School has also recently held a ‘Science Week’ when the children donned their white lab coats and participated in activities ranging from ‘The Ice Man’s Hands,’ ‘Investigating Sounds’ ‘Making Lemonade’ and ‘Filtering Fun’.
A great learning experience was enjoyed by all!
