Remembrance events are taking place across the Western Isles this weekend.

Wreaths have been laid at many village War Memorials today (Saturday) ahead of Remembrance Sunday tomorrow.

Pictured are those who gathered at the annual service at the Melbost/Branahuie Memorial Garden. Present at the co-located Melbost/Branahuie War Memorial and RAF Stornoway Memorial were the Deputy Lord Lieutenant Sheriff CS MacKenzie, Rev Dr ID Campbell, residents of the twin villages, members of the Royal British Legion, RAF Association, Merchant Navy Association and 1731(Isle of Lewis) Squadron Air Cadets, along with the Standards of these organisations.

Further services and a parade in Stornoway town centre will take place tomorrow.
