If you want a low-calorie hit of protein, try Chirps from Two Chicks. Made with egg whites, they contain 20 per cent fewer calories and 50 per cent less fat than your average bag of crisps. They sold out in Selfridges earlier this year but are now available nationwide in Holland & Barratt stores, with three flavours – Spicy Jalapeno, Sour Cream and Onion, and Sea Salt and Cracked Black Pepper, £1.49 per 28g bag.
All sprogged up? Get along to the Pregnancy, Birth and Baby Fair at Knot Stressed, Edinburgh, on 7 and 8 November, 9am-9pm. Their programme of events includes 45-minute taster therapies for £10 per session, with options including postnatal and pregnancy massage. Chat to midwives and nutritionists, and try free and low-priced workshops such as Psychfit and Baby Signing. Booking is essential for workshops and tasters, but Meet the Expert sessions are drop-in.
