Sir E Scott School prize giving awards

Sir E Scott School held their annual prize giving ceremony recently with a number of awards handed out to their top performing students.

Simon Erlinger, managing director of the Isle of Harris Distillery, was on hand as guest speaker and to make the presentations while a brand new prize, the Donald Morrison Award for Hospitality, was presented by Mr Morrison himself.

Eilidh Macmillan was the winner of the first Donald Morrison trophy while Dux of the School and winner of the Alex John Macleod Memorial Prize was Clare Mulhern.

Proxime Accessit was Rebecca Finnegan.

Musical performances were provided on the day from both the junior and the senior choir with Anna Macleod, P7, and Mairi Anna Binns, P7, also singing.

The head teacher, staff and pupils of Sir E Scott School acknowledge with grateful thanks the support of all who contributed towards prize endowment.
