Six candidates for Scottish Youth Parliament election

Six candidates for the Western Isles are standing in the Scottish Youth Parliament election.

The candidates are vying for two MSYP seats to represent the views of young people locally.

The elections are running from Monday 2nd to Friday 13th March. The role of the MSYP is to represent the views of young people to politicians and others, so it is really important that you get the chance to have a say in who is chosen.

Voting is open to all those aged 12-25 and voting will take place through the Young Scot website. You must have a Young Scot card to be able to vote, otherwise you can get in touch with Karen at or text 07796195469 to get a temporary voting number.
